Podium Pathway
The Podium Pathway program is designed for skaters who wish to pursue competitive figure skating at the provincial, sectional, national, and potentially international levels. Skaters work closely with their professional coaches through individualized training plans that support long-term athletic development.

Who Is It For?
Podium Pathway is intended for dedicated skaters in singles, pairs, or ice dance who demonstrate the commitment, skill, and desire to train and compete at an advanced level. Entry into the program is by coach invitation and assessment.
StarSkate Program
The North Surrey Skating Club's StarSkate program provides skaters with the opportunity to develop their figure skating skills through a combination of group sessions, private coaching, and independent practice. Our programs are designed for skaters who are ready to progress beyond CanSkate and pursue their personal goals—whether recreational, test, or competitive.

What is StarSkate?
STAR stands for Skills, Tests, Achievement, and Recognition. Skate Canada's nationally recognized program allows skaters of all ages to develop and be assessed in four areas:

FreeSkate – jumps, spins, footwork, and performance programs.

Skating Skills – edge quality, control, power, and speed.

Ice Dance – timing, musicality, rhythm, and expression.

Artistic Skating – creativity, interpretation, movement, and performance.

Who Is It For?
StarSkate is intended for skaters who have completed CanSkate or an introductory figure skating pathway and are ready to focus on figure skating disciplines in a more structured environment. Placement into our group programs is by coach invitation and assessment to ensure skaters are training at the appropriate level.
INVITATION PROGRAMS
These programs require coach recommendation, assessment and invitation before registration.

Skaters registered with Skate Canada are welcome to use our ice sessions, space permitting.

Register online for the full season of Open Ice sessions (written home club consent and Board approval required), or purchase a single-session buy-on at the rink.

All buy-on fees must be paid at the music area before stepping onto the ice.
